Our Team

Madia Brown

CEO, Founder & Chief Storytelling Strategist

Before founding Brandire, Madia was a visual journalist and art director at the Washington Post for 13 years, where she won multiple awards from 2012-2017 for excellence in art direction and new page design from the Society of News Design (SND), the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association (MDDC), the Ronald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute and the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA).
Madia is a professor at Trinity Washington University teaching graduate students courses on digital and visual storytelling. She has an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, as well as certifications from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and Georgetown University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
